30-Day Notification Requirements
The below changes require notification to the MGA within 30 days. These shall be submitted via an application through the Licensee Portal.
Key Technical Set-Up
In case of any changes to the Key Technical Setup which are not changes to the Key Essential Components, please visit the Licensee Portal and submit a ‘Technical – Change to Key Essential Components’ application. The below information is needed:
- A confirmation that the Licensee has not changed or otherwise interfered with the essential components since its prior submission of the documentation;
- A detailed explanation of the changes that the Licensee intends to make, and the reasons for such change/s;
- The updated Key Technical Setup and Essential Components documents (including the Technical Setup’s Risk Assessment Report).
Entity Details
- In the case of any investment in the licensee other than by a subscription for shares, please visit the Licensee Portal and submit a ‘Corporate – Changes to Entity Details’ application. The application shall include any documentation deemed relevant to the change.
- In the case of any loan taken by the licensee, where such loan is not from a credit institution licensed in the EU or EEA, please visit the Licensee Portal and submit a ‘Corporate – Changes to Entity Details’ application. This application shall at least be accompanied by a description regarding the purpose of the loan and the relevant loan agreements. Further documentation may then be requested by the Authority following submission. The application shall include any documentation deemed relevant to the change.
- In the event of matters which significantly affect the financial standing of the licensee in an adverse manner, please visit the Licensee Portal and submit a ‘Corporate – Changes to Entity Details’ application. The application shall include any documentation deemed relevant to the change.
- In the case of any default by the licensee or where the licensee is a body corporate, or by a group company in making the repayment of the whole or part of a loan in a timely manner, please visit the Licensee Portal and submit a ‘Corporate – Changes to Entity Details’ application. The application shall include any documentation deemed relevant to the change.
- In the event of any criminal investigation or prosecution by a competent authority which relates to the licensee, whether as an investigated party or as an alleged victim of crime, please visit the Licensee Portal and submit a ‘Corporate – Changes to Entity Details’ application. The application shall include any documentation deemed relevant to the change.
- In the case of an application by the licensee or a group company as defined in the Companies Act (Cap. 386 of the Laws of Malta) for a gaming licence from a foreign jurisdiction, please visit the Licensee Portal and submit a ‘Corporate – Changes to Entity Details’ application. The application shall include any documentation deemed relevant to the change.
- In the event of an attainment by the licensee or a group company as defined in the Companies Act (Cap. 386 of the Laws of Malta) of a gaming licence from a foreign jurisdiction, please visit the Licensee Portal and submit a ‘Corporate – Changes to Entity Details’ application. The application shall include any documentation deemed relevant to the change.
- For any other matters that can materially affect the authorised gaming service or supply and, or the licensee’s compliance with the applicable regulatory instruments, please visit the Licensee Portal and submit a ‘Corporate – Changes to Entity Details’ application. The application shall include any documentation deemed relevant to the change.
T&Cs, Policies & Procedures
In case of changes to any Policies and Procedures submitted to the Authority, please visit the Licensee Portal and submit an ‘Operational – Policies and Procedures’ application.
In case of any material changes to the Terms and Conditions, please visit the Licensee Portal and submit an ‘Operational – Updated Terms and Conditions’ application.
Payment Methods
- In the case of a reduction of one or more payment methods offered to players and, or payment service providers, please visit the Licensee Portal and submit a ‘Operational – Payment Methods’ application. The application shall include any documents that require updating in view of the removal of the payment method.
- In the case of the addition of one or more payment methods, please visit the Licensee Portal and submit a ‘Operational – Payment Methods’ application. The application shall include, the relevant agreement between the licensee and entity issuing the relevant payment method.
- In the case of the addition of one or more operational bank accounts, please visit the Licensee Portal and submit an ‘Operational – Payment Methods’ application. This application shall include any documentation deemed relevant to the change.
- In the case of changes in the licensee’s financial year end, please visit the Licensee Portal and submit an ‘Operational – Payment Methods’ application. This application shall include any documentation deemed relevant to the change.
